Posted by Busta Rhymes, the legendary American rapper, has remarked that Grammy-winning Nigerian musician Burna Boy sounds like a Jamaican.
The hip-hop legend, who worked with Burna on ‘Roboshotta,’ a tune on his new album, ‘Blockbusta,’ said the Nigerian vocalist sounded like a Jamaican on the song.
In the latest episode of the Shopping for Sneakers podcast, Busta Rhymes praised Burna Boy’s flexibility.
“The original beat that Pharrell [William] produced for me and Burna Boy’s song ‘Roboshotta’ was a different beat,” he explained. Burna Boy sounds insane on the song, doesn’t he? On the song, Burna sounded like he was from Jamaica.”
Burna Boy and Busta Rhymes began working together musically after the American appeared in his smash single ‘Big 7’ music video earlier this year.
