Arteta suggests he might start both Raya and Ramsdale in the same game

It has been suggested by Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta that both of his goalkeepers could be used in the same game in the future.

On Sunday against Everton, Arteta benched Aaron Ramsdale in favor of David Raya.

The Gunners triumphed 1-0 at Goodison thanks to a late goal from Leandro Trossard, and Raya had a shutout.

After the game, Arteta hinted that he may soon be switching out his goalkeepers.

“I have been in this position for only three and a half years, and despite my youth, I have few regrets about the decisions we have made.

“One of them is that in two separate games during this time frame, after 60 and 85 minutes, respectively, I felt like I needed to change the keeper and I didn’t. I lacked the nerve to go through with it. We designed those games, and I was so disappointed; eventually, someone will do it; and perhaps the response would be something like, “Oh! That’s not normal. Why?’

Why not? Justify your response. If you’re tired of losing and feel like doing anything to change the momentum, you should switch goalkeepers. My belief is that we need everyone on the team to be invested emotionally and mentally. No matter who their opponents are, they must play. Do it. Arteta concluded, “That is my message.”
