He spoke at a special church service held at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Awka to commemorate this year’s Independence Day.

The governor stated that his administration was committed to safeguarding the state’s security.

The state government, he claims, has deployed security officers to important areas throughout the state, and he claims that more efforts are being made to increase intelligence gathering and sharing.

“My government is committed to ensuring everyone’s safety and security.” We are working hard to address the state’s security concerns, and we are certain that we will succeed shortly,” he said.

The governor also warned Nigerians to be aware of bogus news purveyors.

According to Soludo, some people are taking advantage of Nigeria’s current security situation to distribute fake news and misinformation.
