Akpabio Appoints Bamidele, Ndume, Umahi, and Asiru as Principal Officers in the Tenth Senate

Godswill Akpabio, Senate President, announced four key officers for the 10th Senate majority on Tuesday.

Opeyemi Bamidele, who represents Ekiti State Central as Senate Leader, Dave Umahi, who represents Ebonyi South as Deputy Senate Leader, Ali Ndume, who represents Borno South as Chief Whip, and Lola Ashiru, who represents Kwara South, are the new officers.

Akpabio, who stated that the primary officers were chosen unanimously, also announced the names of minority principal officers.

Senator Simon Davou (Plateau North) serves as Minority Leader, Oyewunmi Olarere (Osun West) serves as Deputy Minority Leader, Darlington Nwokeocha (Abia Central) serves as Minority Whip, and Rufai Hanga (Kano Central) serves as Deputy Minority Whip.
