Posted by Walter Mazzarri, the manager of Napoli, has not stopped praising Victor Osimhen for his outstanding performance in Saturday’s victory over Atalanta.
Following his recovery from a hamstring injury, Osimhen rejoined the Serie A champions.
The 24-year-old was hurt during Nigeria’s friendly match against Saudi Arabia earlier this month.
The former Lille striker made an immediate impression upon his comeback, assisting Elf Elmas in scoring the game-winning goal for Napoli in their 2-1 victory over Atalanta at the Gewiss Stadium.
The Nigerian was praised by Mazzarri, who called him a champion.
“Osimhen? We are discussing a champion. He said he may play [against Atlanta] for 20 to 25 minutes. According to Mazzarri, who was quoted in Napoli magazine, “a player like that can make the difference; he makes the opposing defences nervous.”
