Posted by Ini Edo, a well-known Nollywood actress, has stated that she will not respect a man who is incapable of providing for and protecting her.
Ini Edo made this statement while speaking with media personality Toke Makinwa on the attributes she seeks for in a partner.
A guy, she believes, is meant to be the head of the family, but if he cannot defend his family, she cannot be in a relationship with him.
In her own words:
“A man is designed to be the head of the home, as well as the one who protects and cares for the family, based on my upbringing and how I see life.”
“I cannot be in a relationship with a man unless he gives me that protective energy that allows me to respect him.” It is not always about money, but about how he manages the people and situations in his life.
“Some men are threatened by women’s strength and do not want to see their women succeed so that she can do all the basic things that we have been taught are expected of women.” So, when a woman gains too much power, she feels as if she is battling with their egos or whatever it is that makes them masculine.”
