Eligibility requirements for scholarships at Lanzhou University:
To be eligible to apply online for the Lanzhou University Chinese Government Scholarship 2023, candidates must complete the requirements listed below:
Citizens of other countries who are in good physical and mental health.
Age and degree requirements: Candidates for master’s degrees must be under 35 years old and hold a bachelor’s degree. A master’s degree is required, and candidates for doctoral degrees must be under 40 years old.
Excellent academic performance and exceptional scientific research skills.
Those who weren’t awarded other scholarships.
Need a level 4 or higher on the HSK for Chinese proficiency (Valid for 2 years).

Following documents are necessary to apply for Lanzhou University CSC Scholarship 2023–24 Chinese Government Scholarship:
Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form (filled in Chinese or English).
A copy of the foreigner physical examination form (filled in Chinese or English). It should be noted that applicants must closely adhere to the conditions outlined in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form.
The “Foreigner Physical Examination Form” that is incomplete, lacks a photo of the foreigner, is not signed by a doctor or hospital, and is not stamped with a rider seal is void. The validity of the inspection results is six months. When enrolling, please bring the original.
Certificate of undergraduate or higher education notarized (texts other than Chinese and English require notarized translations into Chinese or English). Pre-graduation forms are required for recent graduates. (Certificate).
Transcript that has been notarized (texts that are not in Chinese or English must be accompanied by certified translations into Chinese or English).
Letter of recommendation: two letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors (Chinese or English).
Study or research proposal for China (800 words or more, either in Chinese or English); a copy of the study’s findings. publications’ abstracts or catalogs, certificates of achievement, etc.
a copy of the English or Chinese language test results. Students applying to teach Chinese must have HSK level 4 or higher (certificate is valid for 2 years). In addition to English-speaking candidates, students applying to teach English must also present IELTS 5.5 or higher and TOEFL scores. a transcript showing an English proficiency score of 80 or above or another document.
a duplicate of a current passport A copy of the most recent valid visa page or residence permit page must also be provided by applicants who are located in mainland China.
Nota: The aforementioned files should be scanned, uploaded, and bound into a volume (two copies) before being sent through mail to the Lanzhou University International Cultural Exchange College. When necessary, our school will ask applicants for supplemental materials; they won’t be accepted if they are unclear or incomplete. No materials, accepted or rejected, will be returned.
