Foreign students are now eligible to apply for the Amsterdam Merit Scholarships 2023/24. The scholarships are intended for non-EU/EEA students who aspire to begin a degree program at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) in the academic year 2023/2024.
The University of Amsterdam (UvA) seeks to attract the brightest students from around the world to its worldwide classrooms. Exceptional students from countries other than the EU/EEA are eligible to apply for an Amsterdam Merit Scholarship (AMS).

The Amsterdam Merit Scholarships are a yearly offer made by the University of Amsterdam to high-achieving students from outside the EU/EEA. Scholarships are available through the following faculties/graduate schools.

Students with non-EU/EEA passports who have applied to the University of Amsterdam for a degree program may apply for an Amsterdam Merit Scholarship.

How to Apply: Applications should be sent to the Graduate School Admissions Offices. The AMS deadlines change according to the Faculty or Graduate School.
