When Carlo Ancelotti leaves the Santiago Bernabeu, Real Madrid wants to replace him with Brighton head coach Roberto de Zerbi.

Ancelotti appears set to leave Real Madrid for the second time at the end of the current season in 2023/24.

Xabi Alonso, the manager of Bayer Leverkusen and a former Real Madrid footballer, has been considered as a possible replacement for the Italian.

According to Cadena, Real Madrid will do everything possible to convince De Zerbi to take over at the Santiago Bernabeu.

De Zerbi took over as manager of Brighton last season after Graham Potter left for Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk.

The 44-year-old immediately won over Brighton supporters with his beautiful and optimistic playing style, leading the Seagulls to a sixth-place finish in the Premier League and their first-ever qualification for European competition last season.
