JANESCOPE has learned that the event, which occurred in the early hours of Monday, resulted in the burning of a significant portion of the hotel structure.
At the time of reporting this story, firefighters from Delta and Anambra states are on the ground tackling the issue.

DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, spokesman for the Anambra State Police Command, verified the fire incident to Channels TV, stating the situation is under control.
“The situation has been stabilized. The fire began at 4:30 a.m. on Monday, and when we received the information, our guys were quickly mobilised to the spot, and they cordoned off the area to prevent any vandalism,” he said.
