NSCDC sends out nearly 2,000 workers to Kogi to ensure a trouble-free Yuletide

In order to guarantee a safe and orderly Yuletide celebration in the state, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kogi State Command has announced the deployment of more than 2,000 troops.

This was disclosed on Tuesday during an interactive session with journalists in Lokoja by Ahmad Ahmad Ghandi, the NSCDC’s Kogi State Commandant.

The personnel, according to Commandant Ghandi, were chosen from a number of departments, including the departments of operations, special forces, agriculture, intelligence, and national and key infrastructure.

He continued by saying that the NSCDC is dedicated to making sure that the state is free of crime before, during, and after the holiday season, working in tandem with sister agencies. Commandant Ghandi advised the young people to abstain from criminal activity and acts of violence.

In order to maintain the relative tranquility that the state is currently experiencing, he further urged the public to celebrate in moderation and to give reliable information to the NSCDC about criminal activity and hiding places.
