Capt. Musa Nuhu, Director-General of Nigeria Civil Aviation, made the announcement on the sidelines of the 7th Aviation African Summit and Exhibition, which took place in Abuja not long ago.

According to him, domestic airlines designated to the UK or some EU states can apply to operate without much problem after the Third Country Operator certificates for Air Peace, Omni Blu, and United Nigeria Airlines (UNA).

It only takes a phone call from one DG to his counterpart DG to remedy the problem for the few airlines that have come to us for assistance within a couple of hours.

To operate in European countries, “we fought with some of those countries and got a TCO (Third Country Operator) certificate for our airlines,” he explained.
